Supporters of the Iran Nuclear Deal Should and Will Be Called Traitors

Jewish communal leader Jeff Wiesenfeld, an old friend, said this week, “We are [dividing into two groups] once again: those who stand with Stephen Wise and those who stand with the Bergson Group and the Vaad Hatzala [the Committee for Rescuing Jews in Europe from the Holocaust].”

He’s right.

A mere 70 years ago, wartime American-Jewish leader Rabbi Stephen Wise was quiet until it was too late to help the six million Jews of Europe who perished at the hands of the Nazis.

The Bergson Group did the opposite, heroically taking a moral stand against the Nazis, through street protests, open advertisements. and other activities. This earned the Bergson Group — followers of revisionist-Zionist leader Ze’ev Jabotinsky — condemnation on the part of the American Jewish community for not being “nice.”
