As of Tuesday, Canada was 64th in the world in per capita vaccinations, having fallen from 61st last Friday. Over the weekend, Cyprus, Kuwait and Slovenia passed us.
At their current pace, over 70% of Americans should be fully vaccinated (two doses) by July 4 – August 1 at the latest.
By comparison, at our current slow rollout rate, it will take until Thanksgiving for 80% of us to get our first shot.
Also, while American cases are creeping up, since March 2 they have seen a less than 4% rise in COVID cases.
Meanwhile, Canadian cases are up over 50%.
