NYC secretly exports homeless to Hawaii and other states without telling receiving pols
New York City generously shares its homeless crisis with every corner of America.
From the tropical shores of Honolulu and Puerto Rico, to the badlands of Utah and backwaters of Louisiana, the Big Apple has sent local homeless families to 373 cities across the country with a full year of rent in their pockets as part of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s “Special One-Time Assistance Program.” Usually, the receiving city knows nothing about it.

Federal foreign real estate speculator tax expected to pass
A federal tax on foreign real estate speculators is expected to be passed by Parliament, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.
The first of its kind, the equity tax will penalize foreign real estate buyers by 1% and the Parliamentary Budget Office expects the tax to rake in revenues of $217 million in the first year.
The tax would apply to all residential properties owned by non-Canadians — including corporations and trusts — but homes, condos and townhomes that are rented to tenants who are not immediate family members will be exempt.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberals campaigned on taxing offshore buyers.
“To limit the housing speculation that can drive up home prices, we will put in place a consistent national tax on vacant residential properties owned by non-Canadians who don’t live in Canada,” the Liberal Party wrote in its campaign platform.
The tax mimics what some provinces have already implemented.
British Columbia introduced a 15% property transfer tax on foreign property buyers in downtown Vancouver in 2016, which has since increased to 20% and has expanded to include more regions.
Ontario imposed a 15% house and condo tax on foreign buyers in the GTA in 2017.
Some have challenged the tax. In B.C., for instance, a Chinese real estate purchaser called the provincial tax discriminatory and took the case to the B.C. Supreme court.
“The Foreign Buyers’ Tax can be directly linked to this long-standing legacy of racial discourse in B.C. and Canada, in particular how ‘blaming the Chinese’ has shaped and continues to shape public discourse,” University of British Columbia professor Henry Yu testified.
The challenge was ultimately rejected by Justice Gregory Bowden, who wrote: “The view that foreign nationals significantly contributed to the escalation of prices of housing in Greater Vancouver is neither a stereotype nor a continuation of racist policies from the past.”
However, according to a 2017 report from Statistics Canada, foreign condo ownership in Toronto and Vancouver totalled 7.2% and 7.9% respectively, with the report claiming foreign real estate ownership of single-family homes insignificant at 2% in most large cities.

‘I love my homeland’: Canadian school under fire after screening trailers for patriotic Chinese film ‘My People, My Country’ to Mandarin pupils
A Canadian public high school is under fire after showing Mandarin students trailers for the patriotic Chinese film My People, My Country, decried by some critics as propaganda, then asking them how it made them feel good in an assignment headed “I love my homeland”.
Steveston-London Secondary School in Richmond – the Vancouver satellite that is the most ethnically Chinese city in the world outside Asia – was accused of “brainwashing” students by complainants on social media, who posted a list of “reflection questions” that the teacher asked students to answer in a film review.
Question one was: “How did this movie make you feel? What words or phrases in the movie made you feel good?”

Group Demands Docs Related to Qatar’s Suspected Infiltration of U.S. Public Schools
A legal organization has filed a series of requests to compel American universities to turn over documents that it suspects will shine light on efforts by Qatar to peddle influence and push anti-Israel bias in U.S. public schools, according to a copy of public records requests obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
The Lawfare Project, a legal group that provides services to the pro-Israel community, has filed document requests to compel Middle Eastern studies departments at the University of North Carolina and Duke University to turn over documents related to the alleged promotion of curricula sponsored by Qatar Foundation International, a partially state-funded organization that has helped Doha spend an estimated $1 billion pushing the Middle Eastern nation’s priorities.
The Lawfare Project suspects these documents will reveal how Qatar has worked to spread its propaganda inside the American education system. The organization is seeking public records from UNC regarding any potential involvement by Qatar and its proxies in teacher training programs sponsored by the Duke-UNC Center for Middle Eastern Studies.

Syrian and Turkish armies open fire on each other for the first time since Erdogan began his incursion against the Kurds
Artillery and machine-gun fire was exchanged near the village of Assadiya, south of the border town of Ras al-Ain, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. Six Syrian soldiers were killed, according to the war monitor.
President Bashar al-Assad had bolstered Kurdish strongholds in northern Syria after Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan began his offensive on October 9 to establish a 75-mile wide, 20-mile deep buffer zone.

Israel Saves Second Temple-Era Palace from Palestinian Destruction
A Second Temple period site near Jericho was saved from potential damage and destruction on Sunday when Civil Administration officials discovered construction taking place without a permit at the archaeological site. The complex is believed to be associated with a Hasmonean palace built by the ancestors of the Hanukkah hero, priest Mattathias (Matatyahu).
Construction vehicles filled with bricks, cement and other building materials were discovered at the site and immediately confiscated, according to a press release by the Archaeology Unit at the Civil Administration via the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT). The Civil Administration is Israel’s governing body in Judea and Samaria.
The suspects were detained and questioned by the nearby Maale Adumim police.
In May, a tractor performing illegal agricultural work in the area uncovered a massive Jewish burial cave filled with hundreds of bones, dating back to the Second Temple period, according to the Jerusalem Post. Unique inscriptions of three generations of Hasmoneans were also found, providing details of those buried there. Damage had already been done to the cave’s grottoes before the illegal work was discovered.
The bones were reburied in a tomb in Kfar Adumim in the Judean Desert northwest of Maale Adumim.
The caves are the largest Second Temple era burial grounds in Israel, according to a Haifa University professor named Rachel Hachlili, who has extensively studied the Jericho-area Jewish necropolis, a term that refers to large cemeteries with elaborate tomb monuments. The findings have provided an understanding of ancient Jewish funerary customs. However, looting and damage have made further investigations difficult.
Hanania Hizmi, head of the Civil Administration Archaeology Unit, said that historical sites in Judea and Samaria “cannot be damaged” and that “the archaeology unit works tirelessly to develop and preserve the archaeological sites” in those areas, according to the report.
Unfortunately, Palestinians have been caught on numerous occasions destroying ancient artifacts and structures, many of which prove historic Jewish presence in the Holy Land. Director of the Civilian Control Unit, Marco Ben Shabbat, said that the Civil Administration will use “all the tools at our disposal” to continue preventing illegal construction from taking place at archaeological sites in Judea and Samaria, reported the Post.

Debate Professor: Science Is A Projection Of Whiteness

It’s a projection of white fantasies that has worked to control our interpretation of how the world works.” That’s the statement of a college debate professor talking with his class. He added, “None of us have had the privilege of going to f**king space to verify that there’s these stars and these galaxies and these planets.”

The ISIS Caliph Is Dead – But Who Was Protecting Him?
Islamic State (ISIS) caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead, killed by an American airstrike in northwest Syria. President Trump announced this morning: “U.S. Special operations forces executed a dangerous and daring night-time raid in northwestern Syria, and accomplished their mission in grand style. The U.S. personnel were incredible.”
But the question now should not be avoided: why was al-Baghdadi hiding so close to Turkey? Were the Turks protecting him? If not them, then who was?
It strains credulity that Turkey, with its interests in northern Syria, did not know he was there. Al-Baghdadi was killed in Barisha in the Idlib province, a town of no more than 2500 people right on the Turkish border. If the Turks didn’t know that the world’s most wanted terrorist was there, they’re incompetent beyond measure. If they did know, they’re complicit in protecting him.

Here’s How U.S. Forces Finally Tracked Down and Killed al-Baghdadi
For all the attention, invention and investment that the U.S. intelligence community devotes to spy satellites, communications intercepts, and new technologies such as artificial intelligence, the raid that killed ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was launched by the same old-fashioned tool that led to Osama bin Laden: human intelligence.
