China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar are Major Donors to US Universities

A majority of American parents are unaware that China, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar are among the top financiers of U.S. universities and are worried that foreign cash is influencing what their children are taught in the classroom, according to a recent poll.

Nearly 60 percent of those interviewed in the September poll said they were not aware that the countries are major donors to U.S. universities. The poll was commissioned by the Lawfare Project, a nonprofit advocacy group that tracks campus issues.

Qatar’s presence in the U.S. academic system was concerning to parents when they learned about the small Gulf nation’s deep ties to Iran and terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the Taliban. Eighty-four percent of those surveyed said American schools should publicly disclose their ties to Qatar and explain how the money could be coloring the in-class agenda, according to the poll, which surveyed 2,009 adults last month and was provided exclusively to the Washington Free Beacon.

While extensive foreign funding of American universities has raised alarms in Congress and among advocacy groups such as the Lawfare Project, ordinary American parents are not aware of the issue. This is partly because American schools do not publicly disclose their funding and in many cases try to hide their ties to adversarial nations like China. Foreign countries see the U.S. academic system as central to their propaganda efforts, including anti-Israel initiatives. In the case of countries such as China, they seek to steal cutting-edge research. More than 80 percent of those surveyed said Congress should enact legislation requiring schools to publicly account for every foreign donation.

Wisconsin Elections Commission ‘Shattered’ Laws By Telling Nursing Home Staffers To Illegally Cast Ballots For Residents

Racine County, Wisconsin law enforcement blew the 2020 election integrity question wide open on Thursday after an investigation into one nursing home. It revealed not only that state election officials flagrantly broke the law and ordered health-care employees to help them, but that the problem likely runs much deeper throughout the swing state’s other 71 counties.

An “election statute was in fact not just broken, but shattered by members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission,” Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said during a Thursday press conference in which he and Sgt. Michael Luell detailed the findings of an investigation into Ridgewood Care Facility.

The investigation came about when a woman named Judy signed a sworn affidavit with the Wisconsin Elections Commission after she discovered that her mother, who had died on Oct. 9, 2020 after a period of severe cognitive decline, had voted in the 2020 presidential election. The affidavit was later passed along as a complaint to the county district attorney.

Judy alleged that her mother Shirley’s mental state had deteriorated so far that she was having hallucinations and wasn’t able to recall what she had eaten during a day or even what day it was. According to Judy, her mother couldn’t see — her glasses were broken, and she couldn’t even recognize her own daughter — so even if she were of a sound mind, she wouldn’t have known whether someone assisting her with a ballot had voted according to her wishes.

Luell, who led the investigation at the request of the district attorney, found an unusual spike in voting at this care facility: 42 people had voted in the 2020 presidential election. That number is usually 10. Furthermore, in 2020, 38 people had requested absentee ballots, up from the usual 0-3 in normal years.

When Luell attempted to contact the families of these voters to check whether their loved ones had the cognitive capacity to cast a vote, seven replied no, and almost all of them hadn’t voted since 2012. One of the family members said his mother would ask him who he was, meaning she didn’t recognize her own son. She hadn’t voted since 2012 — yet MyVote Wisconsin revealed she voted twice in 2020.

This surge in voting was the result of Wisconsin Elections Commission officials breaking state law.

The father has no place in today’s Democratic Party

In yet another desperate attempt to sell the public on his failing multitrillion-dollar spending agenda, President Joe Biden released a slideshow Thursday that inadvertently betrays how the modern Democratic Party views the family. And the news isn’t good for fathers, mothers, children, communities, or the nation.

In Biden’s slideshow, we meet a cartoon “Linda” from Peoria, Illinois. Linda, we are told, is pregnant with her son “Leo,” but we are never told where exactly Leo’s father is. We see one slide in which Linda and Leo benefit from Biden’s direct payments to parents. We see another slide that shows the government helping Linda pay to put Leo in daycare. And we see another slide in which Leo is placed in government-run pre-K. But again, at no point do we see Linda or Leo with the father. It is as if he doesn’t exist.

Transgender fiction is about political control

Why is America contorting its politics, culture, and even the English language over people with gender dysphoria, which even government agencies packed full of wokistas concede make up much less than one percent of the population?

At first I thought that self-appointed gay groups and the Democrats who oversee their modest plot on the party’s plantation needed a new topic. With gay equality and marriage in all fifty states and broad acceptance of gays and lesbians in most walks of life, rice bowls of professionally aggrieved groups risked going empty. No well-funded pressure group ever declared victory, returned extra funds to donors, and declared it to be Miller Time. Just keep affixing more letters to “LGB” and there will be no need to get real jobs.

But I was wrong. If that were the cause it would be easier to ignore or defeat. The reality is far more sinister and dangerous, even if most of those emoting over gender dysphoria don’t understand what they are being caused to do.

Transgender radicalism is actually about forcing you to accept something you know to be a lie. It is a powerful form of tyranny. Basic propaganda, doublespeak, or newspeak might just obscure the truth and force people to doubt or step around the obvious. Deliberately forcing you to accept and embrace something you know to be a lie is a step farther. It is not for nothing that at the end of George Orwell’s 1984, the teary protagonist doesn’t just pretend to love Big Brother, he actually does.

Lincoln Project claims responsibility for fake ‘white supremacists’ at Glenn Youngkin event

The anti-Republican political action committee The Lincoln Project claimed responsibility Friday for a stunt in which activists dressed up as tiki torch-carrying white nationalists in a bid to link Virginia GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin to racist views.

The group of five people stood outside Youngkin’s campaign bus during an event in Charlottesville, site of the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in August 2017. In one of the defining images of that event, rally organizer Jason Kessler led a tiki torch-wielding mob on a march through the grounds of the University of Virginia in an attempt to echo Nazi torchlight parades.

Friday’s group — which included an African-American man — were wearing white buttoned-down shirts and khakis, the outfit worn by some of the white nationalists who attended the rally.

“We’re all in for Glenn,” members of the group said, according to an NBC 29 reporter.

Members of McAuliffe’s campaign team were quick to draw attention to the stunt on Twitter and frame Youngkin’s supporters as white nationalists. Communications staffer Jen Goodman tweeted that the gathering was “disgusting and disqualifying.”

“[T]his is who Glenn Youngkin’s supporters are,” agreed Christina Freundlich, who was last seen looping in a Fox News reporter on an email asking her colleagues to “kill” an unflattering story about the McAuliffe campaign.

Youngkin himself suggested that his Democratic opponent was behind the demonstration, telling NBC29: “I think they work for Terry McAuliffe, and I’m sure he sent them.”

“They’ll do anything to win, and he’s doing anything to win, and so he’s paying people to show up and act silly at our rallies,” Youngkin added.

As Twitter sleuths sought to identify the individuals who took part in the bizarre protest, the McAuliffe campaign disavowed the activity.

“This was not us or anyone affiliated with our campaign,” tweeted McAuliffe spokesman Renzo Olivari. “There is one candidate in this race who has embraced white nationalists — and his name is Glenn Youngkin.”

Democratic Party of Virginia Executive Andrew Whitley denied in a statement that the party had any role in the stunt.

“What happened in Charlottesville four years ago was a tragedy and one of the darkest moments in our state’s recent memories and is an event not to be taken lightly,” Whitley wrote. “For anyone to accuse our staff to have a role in this event is shameful and wrong.”

The Lincoln Project ultimately claimed credit for the outrageous scene in a statement Friday evening.

“Today’s demonstration was our way of reminding Virginia voters of what happened in Charlottesville four years ago, the Republican party’s embrace of those values, and Glenn Youngkin’s failure to condemn it,” the group said.

The anti-Trump group slammed Youngkin for refusing to denounce the 45th president’s statement that there were “very fine people on both sides” of the rally, which degenerated into a riot in which one person died and 35 were injured.

“Glenn Youngkin wants Virginians to forget that he is Donald Trump’s candidate,” the Lincoln Project statement declared.

“Wait”, Youngkin communications director Matt Wolking tweeted Friday evening, “so Terry McAuliffe’s campaign coordinated to promote a hoax perpetrated by a group of grifters who are famous for protecting a pedophile? And I thought their day couldn’t get any worse…”

Wolking was referring to sexual harassment allegations against Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver, a former adviser to the presidential campaigns of John McCain and John Kasich.

McAuliffe’s campaign has accused Youngkin of catering to white racists by vowing to ban K-12 schools from teaching critical race theory, an issue that has galvanized parents across the country.

A recent Fox News poll showed Youngkin leading McAuliffe by 8 percentage points among likely voters, causing some commentators to suggest that Friday’s display indicated panic in the Democratic ranks.

Reporter Ben Jacobs described the stunt on Twitter as the “[s]trongest evidence so far I’ve seen that the Fox News poll was dead on in VA.”

Pseudonymous conservative media critic AG Hamilton agreed, tweeting: “The McAuliffe camp would not have been this desperate to promote this stunt if their internal numbers didn’t signal they were in trouble.”

All White Men Nominated For Science Award, So Committee Refused To Pick Any Of Them

A group of scientists who were nominated for a prestigious award lacked diversity, so the review committee committed discrimination by refusing to advance anyone.

Scientific American reported that “five of the nation’s top ice scientists” were supposed to review peer-nominated candidates for the American Geophysical Union’s (AGU) fellows program, but after seeing that all the nominees were white and male, the committee decided not to move them forward.

One of the five members of the panel, Scripps Institution of Oceanography glaciologist Helen Fricker, said the revelation that the nominees were all white men “was kind of a bit of a showstopper for me.”

Fricker admitted to the outlet in an interview that she was placed on the review panel because she had previously complained about a lack of diversity.

The saying goes that, “everything is bigger in Texas.” That apparently also includes the hearts of Texans. Recently, transplant patients in Colorado made national news after they were denied life-saving surgeries for being unvaccinated.

In a statement to Fox News, Abbott’s office said, “Here in Texas, vaccines remain voluntary and never forced. Anyone being denied critical, life-saving organ transplants is welcome here in Texas, where one’s rights and freedoms are always protected.”

Texas university punished Christian student group that requires leaders to believe in God: lawsuit

A Christian student group has filed a lawsuit against the University of Houston- Clear Lake after it denied it privileges due to a leadership policy.

Ratio Christi is open to all students, but it requires its membership to be Christians, a policy that led university officials to deny it Registered Student Organization status.

The denial means Ratio Christi “cannot reserve space, invite speakers, or access the pool of funds they paid into that is reserved for student organizations, speakers, and events,” according to a news release from Alliance Defending Freedom, the nonprofit legal group representing the students.

“Ratio Christi is a student organization at UHCL comprising students who share a mutual faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior,” the federal lawsuit filed on October 25 said. “Its identity is distinctly Christian, as is its purpose to share and defend the Christian faith,” ADF attorneys said.

Its executive officers must “profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ” and “agree to live consistently with their Christian faith.”

The lawsuit said that secular groups are allowed to have leadership policies similar to Ratio Christi’s. For example, the Vietnamese student association has limited leadership roles to Vietnamese students. A military veterans’ student group on campus requires leaders to have served in the armed forces, the lawsuit said.

“Those are just some of the examples of UHCL student organizations that limit their leadership positions, membership, or membership rights to select students,” ADF wrote in its suit. “Other examples include sororities, which limit membership to women, and political student organizations, which limit membership based on political ideology.”

The lawsuit said university officials “[have] singled out Ratio Christi.”

Rutgers professor on white people: ‘We gotta take these motherf—ers out’

Citing the need for “honest conversations,” a controversial Rutgers professor declared in a recent interview that “White people are committed to being villains,” and “We gotta take these motherfuckers out.”

Dr. Brittney Cooper, a professor in the Rutgers Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department that goes by the Twitter moniker “ProfessorCrunk,” appeared on a September YouTube interview with writer Michael Harriot of The Root to discuss Critical Race Theory and recent attempts to oppose it being taught in elementary and high schools.

The video was unearthed by the Media Research Center, which tweeted it this week.

“White people thought, ‘there is a world here, and we own it,’” said Cooper, arguing that white people are afraid to give up power because they may face retribution from African Americans who have been historically oppressed.

“So they think black people gonna get them back,” said Cooper. “And I wouldn’t be mad at the black people who want to get them back,” she added, “but what I believe about black people is that we have seen what a shit show this iteration of treatment of other human beings means and that my hope is that we would do it differently in the moments when we have some power.”

Cooper says white people will not trust black people with power because they are “so corrupt” and their thinking is “so morally and spiritually bankrupt” about power. She says whites only understand a system where either “you dominate or you are dominated.”

The Shakespeare tragedy — widely taught for decades in schools, including primaries — is on at London’s Almeida Theatre.

It points out that it includes “extreme scenes of violence . . .  suicide, and the use of blood, firearms and knives”.

It also warns that the modern take on the 1606 play contains “flashing lights, vaping and the smoking of real cigarettes”.

The message adds: “If you have been affected by any of the issues raised in this production, you can get free support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from the Samaritans.” It suggests those planning to watch should contact the Box Office “if you have specific concerns”.
